The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported HB 5742 (Rep. Sara Cambensy) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported HB 5743 (Rep. Richard Steenland) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported HB 5744 (Rep. Alexander) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Reported HB 5745 (Rep. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Daley, Sen.(s) Victory, Lauwers, Polehanki and Brinks, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to adopt the meeting minutes from May 12, 2022 committee meeting. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 5742, HB 5743, HB 5744, HB 5745, HB 5746, HB 5747 and HB 5748: Rebecca Park, MI Farm Bureau – Support Ashley Steffen, MDARD – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Lauwers to report HB 5742 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Daley, Sen.(s) Victory, Lauwers, Polehanki, and Brinks. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. Page 1 of 3 The Chair made a motion to recommend immediate effect for HB 5742. Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to report HB 5743 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
