The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 272 (S-1) (Sen. Chang) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 808 (S-1) (Sen. Runestad) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported SB 809 (S-1) (Sen. Johnson) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Reported SB 881 (S-2) (Sen. Chang) with recommendation and immediate effect. 5. Testimony regarding SB 417 (S-2) (Sen. Schmidt). 6. Testimony regarding HB 4534 (Rep. Slagh). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Runestad, Sen.(s) Nesbitt, Daley, Bumstead, VanderWall and Chang, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Nesbitt to adopt the meeting minutes from April 20, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up SB 272 (S-1) and remined members testimony was received and the (S-1) adopted during the April 20, 2022 meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Chang to report SB 272 (S-1) to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Runestad, Sen.(s) Nesbitt, Daley, Bumstead, VanderWall and Chang Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair moved to recommend immediate effect for SB 272 (S-1). Without objection, immediate effect was recommended. The Chair brought up SB's 808 and 809, and remined members testimony was received on the bills during the January 26, 2022 meeting. The Chair offered an (S-1) version to SB's 808 and 809. The Chair brought up SB 417 (S-2) and reminded the members that testimony was received and the (S-2) version as adopted during the December 8, 2021 meeting. The Chair invited Sen. Schmidt to summarize the bill.
