The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 1055 (Sen. Schmidt). 2. Testimony regarding HB 5609 (Rep. Kahle). 3. Testimony regarding HB 5488 (Rep. Kahle). 4. Testimony regarding HB 5489 (Rep. Brabec). 5. Testimony regarding HB 5163 (Rep. Witwer). 6. Testimony regarding HB 5166 (Rep. Whiteford). The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:03 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair VanderWall, Sen.(s) Bizon, Johnson, LaSata, MacDonald, Theis, Brinks, Hertel, Santana, and Wojno, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bizon to adopt the meeting minutes from May 26, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Schmidt to summarize SB 1055. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 1055: Hunter Nostrant, Helen Newberry Joy Hospital – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 1055: Sean Sorenson-Abbott, Michigan Health and Hospital Association – Support The Chair invited Karli Zubek, of Rep.
