The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 1143 (Sen. MacDonald) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 1151 (Sen. Schmidt) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 1165 (Sen. At 8:02 a.m., Sen. Outman entered the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 1151: Erin Schor, Michigan Department of State – Oppose The Chair invited Sen. MacDonald to summarize SB 1143. At 8:08 a.m., Sen. Hollier entered the meeting. A quorum was now present. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 1143: Ryan and Eric Posavetz, Clinton Township Police – Support At 8:10 a.m., Sen.(s) McBroom and Lauwers entered the meeting. Page 1 of 3 The Chair made a motion to adopt the meeting minutes from June 15, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Geiss was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to report SB 1143 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
