The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 589 (Sen. Hertel) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported HB 4416 (S-1) (Rep. Anthony) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported HB 5427 (Rep. Howell) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. Reported HB 6377 (Rep. Hauck) with recommendation and immediate effect. 5. Testimony regarding HB 5248 (Rep. Steenland). The Vice Chair called the meeting to order at 2:36 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Vice Chair Johnson, Sen.(s) Daley and Moss, a quorum was present. The Vice Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Moss to adopt the meeting minutes from June 16, 2022. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Vice Chair invited Sen. Hertel to summarize SB 589. The Vice Chair invited the following individual to present testimony regarding SB 589: Jack Owens, Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors - Support The Vice Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Moss to report SB 589 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Vice Chair Johnson, Sen.(s) Daley and Moss Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Vice Chair moved to recommend immediate effect for SB 589.
