BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2426 FAX: (517) 373-2964 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES January 31, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Agriculture was scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Adopted Natural Resources & Agriculture Committee Rules for 2023-2024 Legislative Session 2. Presentation from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Singh, Polehanki, Daley, Victory and Hoitenga, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Cherry to adopt the 2023-2024 Natural Resources and Agriculture Committee Rules. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Singh, Polehanki, Daley, Victory, and Hoitenga. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the rules were adopted. Chair Shink invited Tyler Ridderbusch, DNR Legislative Liaison and Scott Whitcomb, DNR Acting Deputy Director for a presentation. Member questions followed. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
