BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 1, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Veterans and Emergency Services was scheduled for Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Adopted the Committee Rules. 2. Presentation by U.S. Army Major General Paul D. Rogers, Adjutant General and Director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Hertel, Santana and Outman, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Outman to adopt the committee rules. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Hertel, Santana and Outman. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the rules were adopted. The Chair invited the following individual to give the committee a presentation: U.S. Army Major General Paul D. Rogers, Adjutant General and Director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
