BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2523 FAX: (517) 373-5669 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 2, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Community Development was scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 12:00 noon, in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Adopted the Committee Rules for 2023-2024 Legislative Session. 2. Presentation by the SFA Chief Economist David Zin. The Chair called the meeting to order. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McMorrow, Sen.(s) Cavanagh, Polehanki, Cherry, McDonald Rivet, Geiss, Lindsey and Webber, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh to adopt the committee rules. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair McMorrow, Sen.(s) Cavanagh, Polehanki, Cherry, McDonald Rivet, Geiss, Lindsey, and Webber. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the rules were adopted. The Chair invited Senate Fiscal Agency Chief Economist David Zin for a presentation. Member questions followed. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Webber to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Moss and Victory were excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
