BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-5100 FAX: (517) 373-5115 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 9, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Energy and Environment was scheduled for Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation regarding the MI Healthy Climate Plan. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McCann, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Singh, Bayer, Shink, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, Polehanki, Damoose, Outman, and Hauck, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Singh to adopt the meeting minutes from March 2, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Chang was excused from the meeting. The Chair invited Cory Connelly, Climate and Energy Advisor for the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, and Travis Boeskool, Legislative Liaison for EGLE, to give a presentation regarding the MI Healthy Climate Plan. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
