BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2523 FAX: (517) 373-5669 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 13, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Economic and Community Development was scheduled for Thursday, April 13, 2023, at 12:00 noon, in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation from Quentin L. Messer Jr., Chief Executive & Economic Competitiveness Officer with the MEDC. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McMorrow, Sen.(s) Cavanagh, Polehanki, Cherry, McDonald Rivet, Moss, Geiss, Victory, Lindsey and Webber, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to adopt the meeting minutes from March 16, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Quentin L. Messer Jr., Chief Executive & Economic Competitiveness Officer with the MEDC for a presentation on the SOAR Fund. Member questions followed. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
