Gast Appropriations Room. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 187 (S-2) ( Cherry) with recommendation and immediate effect. 2. Reported SB 188 (S-1) ( Cherry) with recommendation and immediate effect. 3. Reported SB 191 (S-3) ( Shink) with recommendation and immediate effect. 4. The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. she instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Cavanagh, Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. McCann, to adopt the committee meeting minutes from April 20, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Cherry and Bruce Baker, of the Senate Fiscal Agency, to summarize SB 187 and the (S- 2) version to the committee. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry, supported by Sen. Shink, to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 187. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, and Cavanagh. Nays: Sen.(s) Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman, and Theis. The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry, supported by Sen. Shink, to report the (S-2) version of SB 187 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
