The Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Cavanagh, to adopt the minutes from the April 26, 2023 committee meeting. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Camilleri and Ryan Bergan, of the Senate Fiscal Agency, to summarize SB 173 and the (S-1) version to the committee. The Chair invited Sen. Camilleri to summarize his amendment to SB 173 (S-1), amendment #1. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Camilleri, supported by Sen. Bayer, to adopt amendment #1 to the (S-1) version of SB 173.
