BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2406 FAX: (517) 373-5679 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 16, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Housing and Human Services was scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 205 (Sen. Cavanagh). 2. Testimony regarding SB 206 (Sen. Bayer). 3. Testimony regarding SB 207 (Sen. Irwin). The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Santana, Cavanagh, Bayer, Shink, Chang, Geiss, Lindsey, Hoitenga, and Damoose, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Geiss to adopt the meeting minutes from March 21, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Cherry was excused from the meeting. The Chair summarized SB 207. The Chair invited Sen. Bayer to summarize SB 206. The Chair invited Sen. Cavanagh to summarize SB 205.
