BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7800 FAX: (517) 373-9310 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 16, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 22 (Sen. Damoose). 2. Testimony regarding SB 251 (Sen. Geiss). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to adopt the meeting minutes from April 25, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. McBroom was excused from the meeting. The Chair invited Sen. Damoose to summarize SB 22. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 22: Kevin Kline, Michigan Association of Airport Executives and Northwest Regional Airport Authority – Support Jim Linderman, Emmet County Prosecutor – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 22: Tory Richardson, CEO Gerald R Ford Airport – Support Troy Hagon, Michigan Department of Transportation – Support The Chair summarized SB 251. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 251: Page 1 of 2 Troy Hagon, Michigan Department of Transportation – Support Rob Pearson, Bus Regulatory and Intercity Supervisor at MDOT – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
