The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 288 (Sen. Singh) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 302 (Sen. Camilleri) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 303 (Sen. McDonald Rivet) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. At 9:01 a.m., the Chair recessed the committee. At 9:30 a.m., the Chair reconvened the committee. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McCann, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Singh, Bayer, Shink, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, Polehanki, Lauwers, Damoose, Outman, Hauck, and Bellino, a quorum was present. The Chair invited Sen. Singh to summarize SB 288. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 288: Evette Griffie, DTE Energy – Support Angela Sterner, The Salvation Army – Support The following cards were turned in of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 288: Jason Hayes, Mackinac Center for Public Policy – Oppose Wendy Randal, Coalition to Keep Michigan Warm – Support Kyle McCree, Consumers Energy – Support Julie Cassidy, Michigan League for Public Policy – Support Page 1 of 2 Tim Lubbers, SEMCO Energy – Support Saunteel Jenkins, THAW – Support Rev. Bayer to report SB 288 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. Outman The motion prevailed and the bill was reported.
