BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7888 FAX: (517) 373-2983 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 7, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Elections and Ethics was scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 367 (Sen. Moss) 2. Testimony regarding SB 368 (Sen. McBroom). 3. Testimony regarding SB 369 (Sen. Singh). 4. Testimony regarding SB 370 (Sen. Santana) 5. Testimony regarding SB 371 (Sen. Santana). 6. Testimony regarding SB 372 (Sen. Camilleri). 7. Testimony regarding SB 373 (Sen. Chang). 8. Testimony regarding SB 374 (Sen. Moss). The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:06 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Moss, Sen.(s) Wojno, Santana, McMorrow, Chang, Camilleri, Johnson and McBroom, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to adopt the meeting minutes from May 24, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. At 2:07 p.m., the Chair recessed the committee. At 2:17 p.m., the Chair reconvened the committee. The Chair welcomed SOS Jocelyn Benson to the committee and invited her to testify on Senate Bills 367-374. The Chair testified on Senate Bill 367 and invited Senator McBroom to explain Senate Bill 368. Member questions followed.
