BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-6960 FAX: (517) 373-0897 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES June 28, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Appropriations was scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room of the Capitol Building. 1) Adopted Legislative Transfer Request 2023-5. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, Cavanagh, Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh, supported by Sen. Hertel, to adopt the meeting minutes from May 3, 2023. Without Objection, the committee meeting minutes were adopted. Next, the Chair invited Cory Savino of the Senate Fiscal Agency to summarize Legislative Transfer Request 2023-5 for the committee. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Legislative Transfer Request 2023-5: Bree Anderson, MEDC – Support Josh Hundt, MEDC – Support Legislative Transfer Request 2023-5 The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Anthony, Sen.(s) McCann, McDonald Rivet, Cherry, Bayer, Santana, Shink, Irwin, Hertel, Camilleri, Klinefelt, McMorrow, and Cavanagh. Nays: Sen.(s) Bumstead, Albert, Damoose, Huizenga, Outman, and Theis. The motion prevailed and the Transfer Request was adopted. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt, supported by Sen. Bayer, to adjourn the committee at 9:40a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned. Adopted: 9-7-23 Page 1 of 1
