BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2426 FAX: (517) 373-2964 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES September 12, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Agriculture was scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 441 (Sen. Shink). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Polehanki, Daley, Victory and Hoitenga, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry to adopt the meeting minutes from June 13, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair summarized Senate Bill 441. Member questions followed. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 441: Taylor Ridderbusch, MI DNR – Support Bill Winoweicki, MI Charter Boat Association – Opposed The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 441: Scott Everett, Michigan Fish Producers Association – Opposed The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Polehanki to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Singh was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
