BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES September 13, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Veterans and Emergency Services was scheduled for Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4602 (Rep. Wilson). The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Hertel, Santana and Outman, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Outman to adopt the meeting minutes from June 7, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up HB 4602 and invited Rep. Wilson to summarize the bill. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4602: Al Merritt, Vietnam Veterans of America, Charles S. Kettles Chapter 310 – Support Vance McCrum, Vietnam Veterans of American, Charles S. Kettles Chapter 310 - Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
