BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7800 FAX: (517) 373-9310 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES September 19, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 464 (S-2) (Sen. McMorrow) with recommendation. 2. Reported HB 4352 (Rep. Shannon) with recommendation. 3. Reported HB 4353 (Rep. MacDonell) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:35 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to adopt the meeting minutes from September 12, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. At 3:36 p.m., the Chair called for the committee to go at ease. At 3:37 p.m., the Chair reconvened the committee. Sen. Camilleri offered an (S-2) version of SB 464. The Chair invited Sen. Camilleri to summarize the (S-2) version of SB 464. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bellino to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 464. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McCann to report the (S-2) version of SB 464 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Page 1 of 2 Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, and Victory Nays: Sen. Bumstead The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Camilleri to report HB 4352 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, and Victory Nays: Sen. Bumstead The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Chang to report HB 4353 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
