BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7800 FAX: (517) 373-9310 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 3, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 533 (Sen. Geiss). 2. Testimony regarding SB 465 (Sen. Singh). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:31 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to adopt the meeting minutes from September 19, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair summarized SB 533. The Chair invited Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to further summarize SB 533. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 533: Karen Johnston, Toyota – Support Daesean Ashby, Michigan Credit Union League – Support The Chair invited Sen. Singh to summarize SB 465. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 465: Adam Tountas, Michigan County Road Commission Self Insurance Pool – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 465: Ed Noyola, County Road Association – Support Page 1 of 2 There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
