BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7800 FAX: (517) 373-9310 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 10, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 533 (Sen. Geiss) with recommendation. 2. Testimony regarding HB 4515 (Rep. Hill). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:34 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Victory to adopt the meeting minutes from October 3, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to report SB 533 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair invited Rep. Hill to summarize HB 4515. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4515: Karen Middendorp, Michigan Snowmobile and ORV Association – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding HB 4515: Amanda Arnold, Michigan Department of Natural Resources – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
