The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 27 (S-3) (Sen. Anthony) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 351 (Sen. Irwin) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 227 (S-1) (Sen. Lauwers) with recommendation. 4. Testimony regarding SB 449 (Sen. Daley). 5. Testimony regarding SB 450 (Sen. Irwin). 6. Testimony regarding HB 4167 (Rep. Morgan). 7. Testimony regarding SB 249 (Sen. Hertel). The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:07 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Hertel, Sen.(s) Santana, Wojno, Cherry, Klinefelt, Geiss, Webber, Hauck, Huizenga, and Runestad, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana to adopt the meeting minutes from October 4, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair offered, and summarized, an (S-3) version of SB 27. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 27: Connor McNeely, Detroit Disability Power – Support Christine Shearer, Michigan Association of Health Plans – Support Leah Robinson, Michigan Chamber – Support Kate Dorsey, Michigan State Medical Society – Support Gabe Basso, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to adopt the (S-3) version of SB 27. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Hertel, Sen.(s) Santana, Wojno, Cherry, Klinefelt, Geiss, Webber, Hauck, and Huizenga Nays: Sen.
