BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-5100 FAX: (517) 373-5115 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES October 25, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Energy and Environment was scheduled for Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 271 (S-2) (Sen. Geiss) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 273 (S-2) (Sen. Singh) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 502 (S-4) (Sen. Shink) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:06 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McCann, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Singh, Bayer, Shink, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, Polehanki, Lauwers, Damoose, Outman, Hauck, and Bellino, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McDonald Rivet to adopt the meeting minutes from September 20, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. Sen. Singh offered (S-2) versions of SB 271 and SB 273. The Chair invited Sen. Singh to summarize the (S-2) versions of SB 271 and SB 273. Sen. Shink offered an (S-4) version of SB 502. The Chair invited Sen. Shink to summarize the (S-4) version of SB 502.
