BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7315 FAX: (517) 373-3126 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 7, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Health Policy was scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4579 (Rep. Price). 2. Testimony regarding HB 4580 (Rep. Brabec). 3. Testimony regarding HB 4131 (Rep. Liberati). 4. Testimony regarding HB 4213 (Rep. Morse). The Majority Vice Chair Santana called the meeting to order at 1:06 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Majority Vice Chair Santana, Sen.(s) Hertel, Wojno, Cherry, Klinefelt, Geiss, Webber, Hauck, and Huizenga, a quorum was present. The Majority Vice Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to adopt the meeting minutes from November 8, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Majority Vice Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Webber to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Runestad was excused from the meeting. At 1:07 p.m., Chair Hertel entered the meeting. The Chair invited Rep.(s) Price, Morse, and Brabec to summarize HB 4579, HB 4580, HB 4131 and HB 4213. Member questions followed.
