BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7800 FAX: (517) 373-9310 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 13, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 3:30 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported HB 4511 (Rep. Rheingans) with recommendation. 2. Reported HB 4512 (Rep. Fitzgerald) with recommendation. 3. Testimony regarding HB 4012 (Rep. Slagh). 4. Testimony regarding SB 682 (Sen. Damoose). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to adopt the meeting minutes from February 6, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Hertel to report HB 4511 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, and McCann Nays: Sen.(s) Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to report HB 4512 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, and McCann Nays: Sen.(s) Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair invited Rep. Slagh to summarize HB 4012. At 3:40 p.m., Sen. Wojno left the meeting and did not return. McBroom to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 682. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Damoose to summarize SB 682 and the changes in the (S-2) version of SB 682.
