BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2406 FAX: (517) 373-5679 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 13, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Housing and Human Services was scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 12:00 noon, in the 403 Room of the Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 5028 (Rep. Puri). 2. Testimony regarding SB 498 (Sen. Irwin). 3. Reported HB 4676 (S-1) (Rep. Young) with recommendation. 4. Reported HB 4677 (Rep. Young) with recommendation. 5. Reported HB 4678 (Rep. Edwards) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Santana, Cavanagh, Bayer, Shink, Chang, Cherry, Geiss, Lindsey, Hoitenga and Damoose, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh to adopt the meeting minutes from February 6, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Rep. Puri to summarize HB 5028. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana to adopt the (S-1) version of HB 4676.
