The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 366 (Sen. McCann) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 225 (S-1) (Sen. Chang) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 226 (S-1) (Sen. Geiss) with recommendation. 4. Reported HB 4185 (Rep. Mentzer) with recommendation. 5. Reported HB 4186 (S-1) (Rep. McKinney) with recommendation. 6. Reported HB 4188 (S-1) (Rep. Aiyash) with recommendation. 7. Reported HB 4190 (Rep. VanderWall) with recommendation. 8. Testimony regarding SB 398 (Sen. McCann). The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:42 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McCann, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Singh, Bayer, Shink, Hertel, Camilleri, Chang, Polehanki, Lauwers, Damoose, Outman, Hauck, and Bellino, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McDonald Rivet to adopt the meeting minutes from February 1, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Reka Holley Voelker, from the Michigan Public Service Commission, to answer questions regarding SB 366. The following cards were read in of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 366: Reka Holley Voelker, Michigan Public Service Commission – Support John Fournier, City of Ann Arbor – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McDonald Rivet to report SB 366 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
