BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3447 FAX: (517) 373-5849 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 6, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding HB 4816 (Rep. Wilson). 2. Testimony regarding SB 728 (Sen. Hertel). The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:07 a.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Singh, Sen.(s) McMorrow, Polehanki and McBroom, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McMorrow to adopt the meeting minutes from February 7, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Geiss and Lindsey were excused from the meeting. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4816: Rep. Jimmie Wilson – Support Mark Uhl, Michigan High School Athletic Association – Support Lance Stone, Detroit Renaissance High School – Support Lindsay Huddleston, Sport Psychology Solutions – Support The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 728: Rob Mass, MiLEAP – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
