BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 FAX: (517) 373-5958 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 19, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Local Government was scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported HB 4360 (Rep. Brabac) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:02 a.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Moss, Bayer, Shink, Hoitenga and Daley, a quorum was present. The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Bayer to adopt the meeting minutes from March 5, 2024. Without objection the minutes were adopted. The Chair brought up HB 4360. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bayer to report HB 4360 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Moss, Bayer, Shink, Hoitenga and Daley Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion from Sen. Moss to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Wojno was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee. Without objection, the committee was adjourned at 9:04 a.m. Date Adopted by Committee: 04/30/2024
