BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7315 FAX: (517) 373-3126 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 20, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Health Policy was scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 12:30 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 279 (Sen. Irwin). The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:31 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Hertel, Sen.(s) Santana, Wojno, Klinefelt, Geiss, Webber, Hauck, and Huizenga, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to adopt the meeting minutes from March 13, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen.(s) Cherry and Runestad were excused from the meeting. The Chair invited Sen. Irwin to summarize SB 279.
