BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7350 FAX: (517) 373-9228 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 16, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Education was scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., in the 1100 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 741 (Sen. Camilleri), SB 742 (Sen. Camilleri) and SB 743 (Sen. Bayer). The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Polehanki, Sen.(s) Geiss, Chang, Camilleri, McDonald Rivet, Damoose and Johnson, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Geiss to adopt the meeting minutes from March 19, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 741, SB 742 and SB 743: Sens.
