ARAGONA CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, April 23, 2026 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Committee on Regulatory Reform was called to order by Chair Aragona. The Chair requested attendance to be called: Present: Reps. Aragona, Fairbairn, Wozniak, Hoadley, Neyer, Rigas, Thompson, Linting, Liberati, Tyrone Carter, Witwer, Neeley, Dievendorf and Grant. Absent: Reps. Wendzel, Tisdel and Whitsett. Excused: Reps. Wendzel, Tisdel and Whitsett. Representative Hoadley moved to adopt the meeting minutes from March 19, 2026. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5535 before the committee: HB 5535 (Rep. Alexander) A bill to amend 2016 PA 407, entitled "Skilled trades regulation act," by amending sections 1111 and 1123 (MCL 339.6111 and 339.6123). Representative Alexander testified in support of HB 5535. Questions and discussions followed. Jamie Learman, representing the City of Caseville, testified in support of HB 5535.
