The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported HB 5747 (Rep. Hill) with recommendation. 2. Reported HB 5379 (Rep. Hill) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 893 (S-1) (Sen. Geiss) with recommendation. 4. Reported SB 985 (Sen. Klinefelt) with recommendation. 5. Reported HB 5922 (Rep. Greene) with recommendation. 6. Reported SB 1011 (Sen. Klinefelt) with recommendation. 7. Testimony regarding SB 459 (Sen. Anthony). 8. Testimony regarding SB 460 (Sen. Anthony). 9. Testimony regarding SB 461 (Sen. Anthony). 10. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to adopt the meeting minutes from October 8, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to report HB 5747 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. McBroom to report HB 5379 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Page 1 of 3 Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, McBroom, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. Sen. Chang offered an (S-1) version of SB 893. The Chair invited Sen. Chang to summarize the (S-1) version of SB 893. The following cards were read of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 893: Mike Compagnoni, Southeast Michigan Council of Governments – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Chang to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 893.
