BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2426 FAX: (517) 373-2964 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES December 3, 2024 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Agriculture was scheduled for Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1300 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 299 (S-1) (Sen. Singh), SB 300 (S-1) (Sen. Singh). The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Singh, Polehanki, Daley and Hoitenga, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry to adopt the meeting minutes from October 1, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Sen. Singh to explain substitutes to SB 299 and SB 300. Member questions followed. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Singh to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 299. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Singh, Polehanki, Daley, and Hoitenga. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 300. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Singh, Polehanki, Daley, and Hoitenga. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. Cherry to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Victory was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
