The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m.. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Singh, Polehanki, Daley and Hoitenga, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry to adopt the meeting minutes from December 3, 2024. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Daley to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Victory was excused from the meeting. The Chair invited Senator Singh to explain S-2 substitute to SB 299. Member questions followed. Page 1 of 4 The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Singh to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 299. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Cherry, Singh, Polehanki, Daley, and Hoitenga. Nays: None The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry to report the (S-2) version of SB 299 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
