BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7800 FAX: (517) 373-9310 **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 11, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure was scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Adopted the Committee Rules. 2. Reported SB 41 (Sen. Damoose) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 52 (Sen. Geiss) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, Victory, and Bumstead, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bellino to adopt the committee rules. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the rules were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. McBroom was excused from the meeting. The Chair invited Sen. Damoose to summarize SB 41. The following cards were read of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 41: Mark Polsdofer, Michigan Department of Transportation – Neutral The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bellino to report SB 41 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 52: Mark Schrupp, Detroit Wayne County Port Authority – Support The following cards were read of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 52: Mark Polsdofer, Michigan Department of Transportation – Neutral The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to report SB 52 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Geiss, Sen.(s) Klinefelt, Wojno, Hertel, Chang, McCann, Bellino, Victory, and Bumstead Nays: None The motion prevailed and the bill was reported. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee. Without objection, the committee was adjourned at 3:14 p.m.
