BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0990 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 19, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room of the 3rd Floor. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) Cherry, Cavanagh, Bayer, Outman, Hauck and Theis. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding Governor Whitmer's FY 2025-26 DHHS Executive Recommendation: Elizabeth Hertel, Director and Amy Epkey, Senior Deputy Director of the Financial Operations Administration - Michigan Department of Health and Human Services At 8:41 a.m., Senator Klinefelt entered the meeting. At 9:08 a.m., Senator Huizenga entered the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Cherry, supported by Senator Cavanagh, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Senator Irwin was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Bayer, to adjourn the committee at 9:22 a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
