BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0990 COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 25, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room of the 3rd Floor The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) Cherry, Irwin, Cavanagh, Bayer, Klinefelt, Outman, Huizenga and Hauck The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Bayer, to adopt the meeting minutes from February 19, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding DHHS budget: Kenyetta Campbell, Executive Director of the Cody Rouge Community Action Alliance and Chris Boyd, Senior University Participant The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding DHHS budget: Sarah Lewakowski, Executive Director of Mosaic Counseling The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding DHHS budget: Dr. Mona Hanna, Director of Pediatric Public Health Initiative and RxKids The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Santana, supported by Senator Irwin, to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Senator Theis was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Irwin, to adjourn the committee at 9:41 a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
