Testimony regarding the Statewide Impact of the Federal Funding Freeze. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Singh, Sen.(s) McMorrow, Geiss, Polehanki, McBroom and Lindsey The Chair entertained a motion by Senator McBroom to adopt the meeting minutes from February 27, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the Statewide Impact of the Federal Funding Freeze: Philip Bergquist, Mihcigan Primary Care Association Deb Brinson, Pontiac Federally Qualified Health Center Megan Erskine, Catherine's Health Center Chanda Hillman, Flowers Early Learning MaDonna Princer, Head State for Kent County Olivia Ponte, Michigan Department of Education Dr. Deane Kelleher, Office of Health and Nutrition Services Teri Langley, Disability Network Kelly Kuhn, Michigan Nonprofits Association Richard Trent, Mainstreet Alliance There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion to adjourn the committee at 9:50 a.m..
