BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0142 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 12, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture and Natural Resources was scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Room 1300 of the Binsfeld Office Building The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:05. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Sen. Cherry, Sen. Bumstead, and Sen. Theis, a quorum was present. Sen. Shink and Sen. Singh were excused. The subcommittee welcomed Jonah Houtz from the Senate Fiscal Agency to provide testimony and an overview of the Governor’s Recommendation for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) FY 2025-26 Budget. The subcommittee welcomed Director Scott Bowen and Chief of Finance Dan Lord from the DNR to provide testimony and an overview of the Governor’s Recommendation for their FY 2025-26 Budget. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Sen. Singh, to adjourn the committee at 12:41 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
