BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2426 APPROVED COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 13, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Corrections and Judiciary was scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Room 1300 of the Binsfeld Office Building The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Shink, Sen.(s) Santana, Irwin and Outman The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding FY 2025-26 Executive recommendation for Department of Corrections : Director Heidi E, Washington - Director Kyle Kaminski - OS Administrator/Legislative Liaison Following the Director's testimony, questions were asked by Senators Irwin, Santana, and Shink regarding transitional housing, peer recovery coaches, and prisoner wages for work performed. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, without objection, to adjourn the committee at 2:45 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
