The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 18 (Sen. Irwin) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 29 (Sen. Geiss) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 30 (Sen. Geiss) with recommendation. 4. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Santana, Cavanagh, Bayer, Shink, Cherry, Chang, Geiss, Lindsey, Hoitenga, and Damoose, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana to adopt the meeting minutes from February 25, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The following cards were read in of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 18: Jen Peacock, Michigan Center for Youth Justice – Support The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cavanagh to report SB 18 to the floor with recommendation that it pass. The Chair invited Sen.(s) Geiss, Cavanagh, Chang, and Santana to summarize SB 29 – SB 34 and SB 36 – SB 39. Sen.(s) Cavanagh and Santana offered (S-1) versions of SB 31 and SB 37. The Chair invited Sen.(s) Cavanagh and Santana to summarize the (S-1) versions of SB 31 and SB 37.
