The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Reported SB 135 (S-1) (Sen. Hertel) with recommendation. 2. Reported SB 107 (Sen. Santana) with recommendation. 3. Reported SB 144 (Sen. Santana) with recommendation. 4. Reported SB 136 (Sen. Anthony) with recommendation. The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Hertel, Sen.(s) Wojno, Geiss, and Webber, a quorum was not present. The Chair summarized SB 135. The Chair offered, and summarized, an (S-1) version of SB 135. At 3:05 p.m., Sen.(s) Santana and Hauck entered the meeting. A quorum was now present. The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 135: Scott Kempa, Michigan Association of Health Plans – Support The Chair invited Sen. Santana to summarize SB 107. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 107: Eric Roath, Michigan Pharmacists Association – Support At 3:07 p.m., Sen. Huizenga entered the meeting. At 3:21 p.m., Sen. Klinefelt entered the meeting. At 3:23 p.m., the Chair reconvened the committee. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Santana to adopt the meeting minutes from February 5, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair made a motion to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Cherry was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 135. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Hertel, Sen.(s) Santana, Wojno, Klinefelt, Geiss, Webber, Hauck, Huizenga, and Runestad Nays: None The motion prevailed and the substitute was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Klinefelt to report the (S-1) version of SB 135 to the floor with recommendation that it pass.
