BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-3447 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 19, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Committee on Oversight was scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in the Room 1200 of the Binsfeld Office Building The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding security risks associated with access to federal IT systems given to DOGE. The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:31 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Singh, Sen.(s) McMorrow, Geiss, McBroom and Lindsey The Chair entertained made a motion excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Senator Polehanki was excused from the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Geiss to adopt the meeting minutes from March 5, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding security risks associated with access to federal IT systems given to DOGE: Kendell Joseph, Resident Professor Hilary Allen, American University Neil DeSouza and Jayson Cavendish, Department of Technology, Management, and Budget There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion to adjourn the committee at 1:27 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
