BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-0142 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES March 19, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture and Natural Resources was scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Rooms 402 / 403 of the 4th Floor The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Cherry, Sen.(s) Shink, Singh, Bumstead and Theis The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Shink, supported by Senator Singh, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 12, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The subcommittee received a review of the Governor's FY 2025-26 budget recommendations for the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) from Bruce Baker, SFA analyst. The subcommittee then welcomed Dr. Tim Boring, Director of MDARD who discussed the workings and accomplishments of his department and presented in detail the Governor's FY 2025-26 budget recommendations
