BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7748 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 22, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on LARA/DIFS was scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Harry T. Gast Appropriations Room of the 3rd Floor The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:45 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Senator Cavanagh, Senator Santana, Senator Theis. Nathan Leaman provided an overview of the Chair's Recommendation for the FY 2025-2026 Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Budget (SB177). The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Santana, supported by Senator Cavanagh, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB177. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cavanagh and Sen. Santana Nays: Sen. Theis Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Santana, to report the S-1 version of SB177 to the Committee on Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Roll Call - Reported Out The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Santana, supported by Senator Cavanagh, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB178. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Cavanagh and Sen. Santana Nays: Sen. Theis Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Santana, to report the S-1 version of SB178 to the Committee on Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Roll Call - Reported Out The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Santana, to adjourn the committee at 2:09 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
