BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2406 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 29, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on EGLE was scheduled for Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Room 1200 of the Binsfeld Office Building The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Singh, Shink, Cherry, Bayer, Bumstead, Hauck and Outman The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Cherry, supported by Senator Singh, to adopt the meeting minutes from April 17, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. Jonah Houtz provided an overview of the Chair's Recommendation for the FY 2025-26 Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy Budget (SB181). The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Shink, supported by Senator Bayer, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB181. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Singh, Shink, Cherry and Bayer Nays: Sen.(s) Bumstead, Hauck and Outman Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Singh, to report the S-1 version of SB181 to the Committee on Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Irwin, Sen.(s) Singh, Shink, Cherry and Bayer Nays: Sen.(s) Bumstead, Hauck and Outman Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. Page 2 of 2 There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Singh, to adjourn the committee at 2:18 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
