BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-2417 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 01, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on MiLEAP was scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 403 of the 4th Floor of the Capitol Building. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Senators Bayer, Klinefelt, Albert. Michael Siracuse provided an overview of the Chair's Recommendation for the FY 2025-26 Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential Budget (SB164). The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Bayer, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB164. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Bayer and Sen. Klinefelt Nays: Sen. Albert Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair made a motion, supported by Klinefelt, to report the S-1 version of SB164 to the Committee on Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Bayer, Sen. Klinefelt Nays: Sen. Albert Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the bill was referred. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Bayer, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 13, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Klinefelt, to adjourn the committee at 8:45 a.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
