BOX 30036 LANSING, MICHIGAN 48909-7536 PHONE: (517) 373-7670 DRAFT COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES May 01, 2025 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation was scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Room 1300 of the Binsfeld Office Building The Chair called the meeting to order at 12:02 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Senator Klinefelt, Senator McCann, Senator Camilleri, Senator Damoose, Senator Bumstead. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator McCann, supported by Senator Camilleri, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 6, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Damoose, supported by Senator Bumstead, to adopt the meeting minutes from March 13, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. Bobby Canell provided an overview of the Chair's Recommendation for the FY 26 Department of Transportation Budget (SB174). At 12:12 p.m., Senator Hertel entered the meeting. The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Hertel, supported by Senator Camilleri, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB174. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Hertel, McCann, Camilleri, Damoose and Bumstead Nays: None Excused: None Not Voting: None The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Camilleri, to report the S-1 version of SB174 to the Committee on Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Hertel, McCann, and Camilleri Nays: Sen. Damoose Excused: None Not Voting: Sen. Bumstead The motion prevailed and the bill was referred.
